I often see "Masterclass Offers" where the instructor teaches to complete a 4 or 5 foot artwork. Although impressive in size, I believe whatever you can create on a 2 foot panel you can duplicate on a 4 foot paneI and my students will probably learn more when I teach them 2 entirely different designs/styles in a medium size that I myself sell quite frequently.
While you go through 2 completely different designs with me, you will soon recognize the similarities in the build up and at the same time your inspiration will kick in quickly because you will recognize the endless design possibilities, with simple changes such as switching the medium for the outer edge design.

Who is this course for an what's in it ?
This is an advanced course that requires the prior knowledge of what resin is, how to mix it and protect yourself properly during the process. If you haven't worked with resin yet, please get the "Guide to resin geode art" first ...or the bundle package since none of these topics will be touched.
In this prerecorded video tutorial, I will guide you through all steps necessary in the creation of a free-form geode. In case you can't purchase a pre cut panel, I'll show you how you to make your own.
Starting with choosing the right support to work on, making a template for future use, cutting out the shape with a jigsaw and prepping the panel before starting the actual design. I will work you through 2 different geode designs from start to finish and also show you 5 different edge design examples you can apply to your future creations. Meet Your Instructor
Hi I'm Sonja
I'm a professional New York City based, mixed media artist of over 20 years. I am working with an array of different mediums to create paintings and 3 dimensional wall sculptures.
I included resin a couple of years ago into my studio work and was instantly hooked on the versatility of this medium. I'm excited to share my gathered knowledge and experience with you here in this advanced level freeform course.
My art journey started in 2001 and I began actively showing and selling my work through galleries in 2008. I have been published in books and magazines since and was fortunate to showcase some of my work in some quite iconic places such as the Chelsea Hotel and the Lincoln Center in parts of New York's Fashion week.
Today most of my work is commission based which allows me to work directly one on one with my clients.
